What you need to know about National Parks

America’s National Parks Service was established in March of 1872. Originally limited to only Yellowstone National Park in Montana and Wyoming, the system has expanded as new parks have been added to the program. As of today, there are 63 unique national parks spread across the United States of America.

National parks are areas of land protected by the federal government of the United States. This status helps preserve the park’s natural beauty, native wildlife, and historic monuments for the American public’s enjoyment.

Parks feature a variety of experiences through which visitors can interact with nature. These include hiking trails, visitor centers, campgrounds, and lectures from our professional rangers.
